Ingredients:
- The Pie Crust
- 1 sleeve of graham crackers (about 1 1/2 cups)
- 5 tablespoons salted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar or ½ cup packed golden brown sugar + 1 teaspoon
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup 2 percent milk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt plus a pinch more
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 teaspoons scotch whiskey (optional)
- The Pie Topping
- 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream (my apologies! this originally said ½ cup. fixed now!)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
