- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp orange zest
- 4 oz (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar, divided into 1/4 1/2 cup
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 tbsp fresh squeezed orange juice
- 3 small apples
