- 4 c all-purpose flour, sifted
- 1/3 c granulated sugar
- 3 Tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 2-1/4 tsp instant yeast
- 1-1/2 tsp salt
- 1 c whole milk
- 1/4 c water, at room temperature
- 1-1/4 c (2-1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened (for laminating)
- 1 large egg + a few drops of water (for egg wash)
