What do we know about Jeff Gordon NASCAR Profile at Kosher Bread Pro ? We know it’s a hot topic for Kosher Baking.

About Jeff Gordon NASCAR Profile

Jeff Gordon is a famous American race car driver who was born in 1971 in Vallejo, California. He has won the Nascar Winston Cup four times, and he drives car #24 for Hendrick Motorsports. As of this writing, one of his most prominent sponsors is DuPont. Jeff Gordon began racing when he was only five years of age. He loved to race cars, and his family was supportive of him. His family actually relocated primarily because they wanted Jeff to be in a location where he could better harness his racing skills. While he was still a minor, Jeff had already won a number of races and was given the USAC Midget Car Racing Rookie of the Year award.

After this, Gordon went on to win the USAC Midget title, and by 1991, he had gained the USAC Silver Crown. He broke a record by being the youngest person to ever capture the title. He went to the Busch Series after this, and had a large number of victories. Gordon crashed his car during the the Hooters 500 race in Atlanta in 1992, and this caused him to be placed in the 31st position. Jeff Gordon was one of many young racers who would be placed on high quality teams early in their careers. The success of Jeff Gordon allowed a younger generation of racers to begin competing in Nascar.

Many critics felt that Gordon was not ready to compete at the professional level because of his habit of racing cars so hard that he crashed them. However, Gordon proved them all wrong during the 1994 season, were he emerged victorious in the Lowe’s Motor Speedway, which was a long and difficult race. Gordon would also go on to win at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Brickyard 400. In 1995 he won what would become the first of four Winston Cup Championships. Jeff Gordon is also famous for rising up against the legendary Dale Earnhardt, and he has become a fan favorite.

Many people consider Jeff Gordon to be one of the greatest drivers in Nascar because he achieved so much at a very young age. Even at 35 years of age, Jeff Gordon has successfully won 75 races, which is just one victory behind Dale Earnhardt. Jeff Gordon is also notable for making Nascar a popular sport with mainstream audiences. For a long time, the sport was only regulated to the south, but Jeff Gordon has allowed it to reach a high level of popularity due to advertising and his skills with the media.

Category III Hurricane Gordon; 2006 Atlantic Tropical Hurricane Season Soars

What do we know about Category III Hurricane Gordon; 2006 Atlantic Tropical Hurricane Season Soars at Kosher Bread Pro ? We know it’s a hot topic for Kosher Baking.

About Category III Hurricane Gordon; 2006 Atlantic Tropical Hurricane Season Soars

Apparently Hurricane Gordon is getting a little persnickety out in the Middle of the Atlantic and has grown from a Tropical Depression into a Tropical Storm and continues to grow. It made Category Hurricane one status and then past into Hurricane Category II and Category III in less than 36 hours out in open sea. That is the bad news and the good news is that it will not be affecting land it appears.

Why is Hurricane Gordon so tough? Why is it the first major Hurricane of the 2006 Atlantic Tropical Hurricane Season? How did Category III Hurricane Gordon grow so fast? Does this mean the 2006 Atlantic Tropical Hurricane Season is soaring?

Indeed generally the Cape Verde Hurricane Season really gets ripping around September, as that is usually the peak of the Atlantic Tropical Hurricane season. Hurricane Gordon has been assisted by warm water surface temps and strong stormy conditions coming of the coast of Africa and we should not be surprised at its strength at all say Meteorologists and Hurricane weather experts. Hurricane Gordon is being tracked by satellite and its low-pressure center indicates it should remain a strong Hurricane for a while. Please consider all this in 2006.

The Origins of The Honorable Artillery Company

What do we know about The Origins of The Honorable Artillery Company at Kosher Bread Pro ? We know it’s a hot topic for Kosher Baking.

About The Origins of The Honorable Artillery Company

The Honorable Artillery Company is the oldest regiment in England and, some say, the world.

There is no clear understanding of the earliest origins. The earliest known primary record is dated August 25th 1537 and this documents the granting, by King Henry VIII, of a Charter of Incorporation to the Guild or Fraternity of Saint George, a Guild of Archers and Handgunmen. This group eventually become known as the Honorable Artillery Company. The wording of the charter is such that it could be inferred either that the Guild had been established earlier or that a new Guild was to be established using other groups of archers ready for incorporation in to a new body.

There is some evidence in The King’s Roll of Payments in 1509 and 1515 of disbursements to the Fraternity of Saint George’s Guild and this leads to the likely conclusion that the Company’s origins can be traced back to the 15th century. Those seeking earlier origins should look to Highmore who, writing in 1804, describes how the London Auxiliaries (“from whom in subsequent periods the Artillery Company took their rise”) marched with King Alfred in the year 883 to dislodge the Danes from the town of Hertford.

Following the grant of the Charter, the Fraternity of Artillery and Gunners of the Tower leased land (in 1537) in the Teasel Ground (or Old Artillery Garden) off Bishopsgate. This enclosure which was used for training was supposed to be the site of the old Roman ” Campus Martius”. There are many accounts of large groups of archers meeting in the surrounding area – archery was a popular leisure activity at that as well as an important military activity. There is a map by Ralph Agas, circa 1560-70, showing the old Artillery Garden. The conflicting activities of the Gunners and the Artillery Company eventually led to the move to new headquarters in Finsbury.

Kosher Spring Recipes

What do we know about Kosher Spring Recipes at Kosher Bread Pro ? We know it’s a hot topic for Kosher Baking.

About Kosher Spring Recipes

I love foraging and I’m fortunate to have local experts available.

But I’m the first to admit that locating, harvesting and preparing wild edibles could be a daunting task to the beginner.

I have written about the availability of wild edibles in many farmers markets and specialty stores. This is a very good way to start. Once you learn these plants, you will find it easier to recognize them in the wild. My Wild Food Recipes page has my recipes and links to recipes from other sources.

For me, nothing beats fresh picked. But locally grown is a very close second. Wild plants are filled with nutrition, but as you should with any new food, always test a small amount to ensure edibility.

Here is a list of plants that you may find for sale:

Burdock root – available in spring, summer or fall, remove the outer part to reach edible core

Chickweed – tastes like corn, grows early spring and autumn, eat raw or cooked

Dandelion – early spring leaves for salad or steamed vegetable

Day lily – shoots good early spring, buds and flowers in summer

Fiddlehead ferns – very early spring, use only tightly coiled fiddleheads

Garlic mustard – excellent raw spring through summer, cook roots in autumnJerusalem artichoke – late fall or early spring is the best time for these tubers

Lambs quarters – eat raw early spring, cook larger leaves

Mint – includes bee balm, pennyroyal, spearmint, wild thyme, wintergreen

Morels – very early spring, short season, sold dried more often than fresh

Nettles – best in early spring – steam to get rid of the sting

Purslane – available in summer, good raw in salad or cooked

Ramp – wild leeks available in early spring, good raw or cooked

Sheep sorrel – refreshing lemon taste, I use in salad

Staghorn sumac – steep berries for a natural “lemonade”

Violet – leaves and blossoms in mid spring, leaves good in summer

Watercress – available in early spring and autumn

My Wild Recipe Page booklist includes many cookbooks. Where I have tested recipes, these authors have been reliable. I will continue to add my favorite recipes to this page.

Writer and naturalist JJ Murphy has been eating wild foods since her farmer parents pulled weeds from the veggie garden and she ate the weeds. JJ continues to forage and write in Harriman, NY, posting recipes and resource information at http://www.WriterByNature.com.

Online Kosher Wine

What do we know about Online Kosher Wine at Kosher Bread Pro ? We know it’s a hot topic for Kosher Baking.

About Online Kosher Wine

Wine can be a complicated topic. Some people have no idea about wine. Knowing the different types of wine will help you to make a more educated choice the next time you are out buying a bottle.

Wines from the United States are named first for the type of grape used in them and then for the place they were made. European wines are named by the place they were made and then by the type of grape. This simple explanation will help you to immediately define a domestic wine from an imported wine.

The different types of wines are based upon what is used to make them and sometimes by the process in which they are made. The following list explains each type of wine.

Red wine – These wines are made form dark skinned grapes.

White wine – This wine is made from light skinned grapes or from dark skinned grapes whose skins have been removed prior to processing.

Rose wine- This is made from leaving the skins on dark grapes just so the wine is tinted and then removing them.

Sparkling wine or champagne- This is made as a regular wine and then goes through a second fermentation process.

Dessert wines – These are made the same as the others, but have a higher sugar content.

Fruit wines – These wines are made from fruit other than grapes.

Agricultural wine – This type of wine is made from agricultural products other than fruit or grains.

Kosher wine – Made for those of the Jewish religions, these wines follow a rabbinical production process.

Organic wines – This type is made from grapes that are grown organically.

Nonalcoholic wines – These wines start as a traditional wine and then go through additional processing to remove almost all of the alcohol.

When choosing a wine you really should go from your personal preference. Taste the wine and consider its flavor and the flavor of the food you are pairing it with. You do not want the wine to overpower the food. The idea is that the wine complements the food. If you are unsure be aware that most people agree that champagne goes with anything.

Knowing a little background on wine ca help you to make a nmore informed decision when you go to buy. You should have an idea of the general type of wine you want before you go. Once you get to the store, taste and think. You should have no problem choosing your own wine.

A beginners guide to choosing wine was written by Craig Dawber, Find out all you need to know about food and drink, wine and spirits on this web-site http://www.winewebsite.info

What Is Kosher Meat

What do we know about What Is Kosher Meat at Kosher Bread Pro ? We know it’s a hot topic for Kosher Baking.

About What Is Kosher Meat

Years ago I wondered why people would always have corned beef dinners, but there was never any corn with the meal. It was always cabbage and potatoes. It was later in life that I understood what was meant by corning beef and it had nothing to do with corn. I used to think that corning beef meant to feed the cattle corn to fatten them up for butchering. I was mistaken.

Corning beef is a method of curing tougher cuts of beef. Choose cuts like plate, rump, chuck or brisket. Make sure the meat is well chilled. Remove the bones and cut the meat into uniform pieces. After the meat is cut up weigh the meat. For each 100-pounds of meat you will use 10-pounds of kosher salt. If you do not have 100-pounds of meat, adjust the proportions of meat to salt.

I use a clean crock. I sprinkle a layer of salt on the bottom of the crock, then a layer of meat, then more salt, then a layer of meat. I continue until the meat is packed or the container is full. I cover the top layer of meat with a good amount of salt. I let the meat sit for 24-hours then I cover the meat with a solution of: 4-pounds sugar, 2-ounces baking soda, and 4-gallons of water.

I make sure that I have packed the meat tightly and that it is completely covered with brine. I weight the meat down with a heavy. clean stone or brick to keep it submerged. I let it cure like that for 35-40-days in a temperature of 38-40-degrees. After the meat is cured, I remove it from the brine, wash it and drain it. Now it is ready for wrapping or smoking.

I put my beef in brine this morning. I added 4-ounces of pickling spice in a spice bag and 2-bulbs of garlic to the brine for flavor. That is my preferred flavor.

Be certain to keep the temperature at a consistant 38-40-degrees so the brine does not become ropy. If it gets too warm you will have discard the brine and start all over, which is a pain to do.

I will be cooking corned beef and cabbage for a meal in March. YUM!

Everything I write about is from personal observation and life experiences. I love to cook and prepare foods in different ways. I like sharing my experiences about food and cooking. My website http://www.pothaven.com was created because of my interest in quality cookware and cooking.
