Ingredients:
- 1 cup chana dal (yellow split peas), soaked for at least 4 hours
- 2 green chillies, finely chopped
- 3 shallots finely chopped
- 1 ½ tsp. minced ginger
- ½ tsp. asafoetida
- 1 tsp. salt
- 10-12 curry leaves, roughly chopped.
- Oil for deep frying
