Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 pound 80/20 ground beef
- 1 pound ground pork (I tried it with pork sausage and it was great)
- 1 bunch green onions, finely chopped
- 1 small bell pepper, finely chopped (green is more traditional but you can use any color that you like)
- 1 large garlic clove, crushed
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 4 cups all-purpose flour, plus extra for preparing surface
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup milk
