Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon Allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Shortening, soft
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Light molasses
  • 1 cup Cooked oatmeal, cooled*
