Ingredients:

  • 4 slices bacon
  • 2 Tbsp fresh sage, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 (1-1/2 lb) butternut squash, peeled, deseeded, and diced into cubes (about 3 cups)
  • 1/4 c heavy cream
  • 1 c pasta water
  • 1/2 c Parmigiano-Reggiano, grated
  • 1 box (16-oz) fettuccini
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
