  • 2/3 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg (fresh is so much better!)
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 4 green apples- peeled and cubed small

  • 1 tablespoon fresh orange zest
